The wire broken by the switch is the hot, the other is neutral. Don't mean

to sound insulting but if you don't know that you shouldn't be doing any wiring. If you think 110V can't kill you you are wrong.
You could use the cord linked below, which is made by somebody that knows wiring.
Or you could cut one lamp cord between the switch and the lamp. Run the wire into an electrical box. Connect the wire that is broken by the foot switch to the copper colored screw of a duplex outlet. Run the wire that was not cut by the switch to the sliver colored screw. Repair the lamp by connecting a plug on the end. Again, the wire that was connected to the switch goes to the copper colored screw in the plug, what was the continuous wire goes to the silver screw. Plug both lamps into your new outlet box that is now controlled by what was the footswitch for one lamp. **
