I compare it sometimes to a friend who is an audiophile. He bought $10,000

speakers. Were they better than my $300 speakers? Yup, sure were. But were they 33 times better? Nah, I really doubt it.

Similar with wine. The BEST wines I've ever had have been more expensive, but I've also had a few pricey bottles that weren't any better than an $8 'value' buy that I could get today. And while we do have a number of wines in our 'cellar' that retail for over $50, for the most part we're drinking wines that we bought between $8 and $20
