Got an ovation once on a flight coming back from Saudi. If they only knew


that I was still in uniform because of a drunken night in Germany a mere 12 hours before. I almost missed my flight on the freedom bird back home and didn't have time to shower or change like the rest of my fellow service members into civvies. It was on the connecting flight from Philly to Atlanta.

Also the USO in Atlanta has been on site every day for God only knows how long. They welcome service members with raucous applause and, if you have the time, will usher you into a really nice USO club in Hartfield.
