I just wonder if this was part of the deal to get Brooks

He may have had an understanding with Whit that he was going to coach his daughters. Others have speculated that was the case and a condition for him taking the job. Who knows. But with better players on the roster, 10 minutes or so of playing time would appear to be far more reasonable. And I think most fans could accept that.
