That kinda surprise me too, we have the Putuxent "river" up here and most


it isn't that deep. I guess Rock Creek is more tidal and alluvial where the woman slipped?

Having said that, I did go out for a walk and there's an old stone railroad stantion that drops 20 feet. On a day like yesterday I'm not going anywhere near the edge (and by judging footprints in the snow, no one else did either)
