A guy has four shots at the NCAA Tournament

Yes, Mekhi could have done very well at the tournament last year as a true freshman, but there is little doubt that he will do even better this year based on that extra year of experience.

And as an example, I'd point to Hunter Bolen, who did not redshirt as a freshman but is redshirting now. Look at how much he has developed since last year. As good as he was coming out of HS, he didn't make much noise at the tournament last year. He would if he went this year and I'm sure he will next year. It's just really tough as a true freshman.
