Reminded me of a drive through Wyoming years ago


I was on the interstate heading east, when I saw a sign that said, "Drug Checkpoint 1 Mile Ahead" just before an off ramp in the middle of nowhere. My initial thought was why in the world would any law enforcement agency put a sign like that up just before a possible escape route like an exit ramp.

I looked into my rear view mirror after passing the intersection to see police had pulled over a couple cars that had taken the off ramp. Guess their trap scenario was aimed at paranoid drug users/smugglers, and it worked...lol
