We live up the last turn before our "regular" checkpoint...

There are checkpoints at this location once or twice a year, about 500 yards after our turn. More than once, a cop/deputy has seen us turn up our dead-end road, and then followed us to our driveway to make sure we weren't trying to dodge them.
