Yeah, it's a hard thing to quantify I suppose but that would be one way to


do it. How many times a car is a character or part of the person's character in movies and other media? it just ain't happening anymore. I did just see "Bumble Bee" which I suppose could be a Herbie reference. but what else? A lot of anecdotal stories, high school kids who aren't particularly into getting their driver's license these days, Hipsters are kinda anti car type stuff.

Even as more people have them than ever, the romance of the road is pretty much over.

A couple more Burt Reynold's Trans Am, another one in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot...
