Mine used to quit working when it was cold. The problem was low fluid

and a bad bump, I think. The bad bump was caused by it running on low fluid, IIRC. It worked fine in the summer and on temperate winter days, but when it got too cold, the fluid was too viscous and it wouldn't turn.
