Did he recently start wearing glasses?

I played outfield in softball when I first started wearing glasses, and it took a little time to get used to the magnification. I started running in for fly balls, only to discover I had underestimated the distance they would travel, so I had to run backwards to field them. Thankfully I didn't make any glasses related fielding errors.

I got the hang of it, but it did take a little adjustment period.
