With the law & were being driven by the love of their child. I’m not saying let her off. I just don’t think she’s a dangerous person who needs to be jailed. Her big crime was she tried to take the easy way out & get her child into a college. That was her mission.
Was she wrong, yes. Should she pay a penalty, yes & from the looks of it she’s paying a huge penalty. A fine and community service should be sufficient. Get creative with the community service. Utilize what she brings to the table so you can get the best use out of her, Felicity & William Macy. I’m thinking creative acting classes or career couciling classes at HS. Make them do it for however long the court feels it’s justified. I don’t think any of them meant to steal money or kill anyone. I think this was just a failure to use sound judgement for which they are paying a hefty penalty. Why should the government spend money jailing them?
Now some of the others involved in this crime are not in the same boat. I’m talking the slime ball who put it together & the coaches who accepted bribes. They were looking for money & they weren’t acting from a place of love they were solely succumbing to greed.
