Yes, only one cable provider available

Prior to switching to youtubetv, I had cable, DVR service, the sports package (but no premium channels), and 10mpbs internet for $181/month. And that included the discount for bundling. And no, it didn't even include home phone service (that would have jacked it up to $220ish).

Yeah, there were some introductory options that I think started things under $100/mo, but those have long expired. Only other option I could have switched to was Dish/Direct TV...and every time I tried to price it, it came out about the same as my cable bill.

Now, I'm paying $59.95 for the same lousy 10mbps internet and $40 for YouTubeTV. So a $10 price hike to get a few channels I kinda wanted anyway doesn't break my heart. Heck, my cable bill drifted up by about $15/mo over the two years before that anyway.

But I also just got an offer from the cable company that they are offering 50mbps service for $64.95. Contemplating doing that...but $5 here and $10 there starts to add up over time.
