I said a few threads ago that Spurs are the VT of the Prem ...


They are the perennial "almost" team. Always very good, yet outside the inner circle of big spenders. Have to thrive on substance, not style. A dilettante local rival (Arsenal). The dilemmas Spurs fans/players/staff must face would be very, very familiar to those in the VT camp.

On top of that, the Spurs chosen style of football is fairly attractive and easy to like. Throw in a coach with charisma and chemistry -- and the package is complete for VT types.
