Anyone else's mom just unable to take a day off, even on Mother's Day

Due to some other conflicts, my sister, niece, daughter and I went to visit my mom yesterday for Mother's Day. The goal was to have a meal together that she didn't have to cook. I made pork bbq, green beans, and brought a cake. My sister made mac & cheese, asparagus, another dessert, and brought rolls. Figured we were good.

But unbeknownst to us, mom decided to make corn pudding (the grandkids love her corn pudding), more green beans, some marinated vegetables, a banana pudding, and some billy's beans.

I thought my sister and I had a pretty good plan. But I think my mom is simply incapable of not cooking enough food for an army if a couple people are coming over. It was a great day, but kinda ruined the spirit of the get together.
