I see people say this and it's never been true in my experience. I wear my

watch overnight. I charge it when I get in the shower in the morning and before bed at night and I never have an issue with it dying. And I'm not sure I'd say any Fitbit has "a lot of the same functionality". It really depends on what you're using it for. If you only care about fitness/sleep tracking then yeah a Fitbit will work just fine. If you're using it as a companion/extension of your phone for various apps, email, texts, etc then you're going to see a pretty big difference in terms of functionality between the two.
