But they picked up Sky TV

Sky is pretty much like the AT&T of the UK and Ireland in that they offer it all, satellite tv, landline, broadband, mobile, and streaming. They also have the content contracts that make Sky Sports even bigger than ESPN in the UK: Wimbledon, Premier League, FA Cup, NFL, US Open Tennis, Northern Ireland soccer, Scottish soccer, MLS, Gallagher Premier League (rugby union), Super League and NRL rugby (rugby league), Formula 1 racing plus all feeder racing series, golf (all 4 majors plus PGA tour events, European Tour and Ryder Cup), and the NBA.

Sky has all of these that they own the terrestrial and streaming rights to. With Comcast's acquisition of Sky, it could open up ways for Comcast/Sky to create content that can be used on Comcast's US platforms and Sky's platforms, kind of like how NBCSN has "Pro Football Talk" airing on it and then it airs on Sky Sports, and then "Sky Sports News" airs on NBCSN.

Kind of interesting that FOX, Disney and Comcast all were very aggressive going after Sky TV with all the talk of cutting the cord, but it appears Sky is content and delivery rolled into one making that
