At what age (or point in life) do you start wearing khaki pants and button

up shirts when you go for walks or for just lounging around?
I'm sitting here on my back porch watching people on the Huckleberry trail. Just saw an older gentleman walking wearing long khakis and button up dress shirt. Made me think of my grandfather who ALWAYS wore that....every day. Working in the yard, mowing, gardening, or just sitting around the house.
Personally, I'm wearing shorts and t-shirt whenever possible. I'm wondering if there is an age or a memo that gets sent out with your retirement/AARP membership that has guidelines for dress code.
