A big difference. The standard protocol is to put cuffs on people who are getting arrested for everyone’s safety including the suspects. It doesn’t mean anyone is guilty. That’s for the courts to decide. You also having to consider they had friends on the sidelines, who think they are helping but in reality make the situation worse. Which I happen to believe is often the goal.
You say you disagree but you weren’t specific about what? Was it because the cops was cursing at the guy? Kicked his leg out when the cop was trying to cuff him? You can’t have a problem with them getting arrested? Shoplifting is illegal. It doesn’t matter if it was for a dollar or a thousand dollars. That’s not a cops job. They should enforce the law & let the courts decide who’s innocent.
You can form your opinion if you want but I’ll wait to hear the whole story. That includes all the cops, including their cameras, any winess’s especially unbiased ones & the store owner. Their past history can also play into what happened. Maybe that cop has delt with that guy numerous times or already knew he’d been arrested for other crimes including resisting arrest or carring an illegal weapon. Did you consider any of that before you rushed to judgment?
