Unless you have a large bundle of pushing a huge volume of data I can't imagine that even being a remotely viable part of the problem.

If there is a signal interference issue it is more likely to be a point where you are crossing over a power cable or something like that, a cable run that is beyond spec for the cable, or an issue in the router that is pushing the signal.

One thing, is the source a router or a hub? Had an issue once where some consultants put a hub in the middle of the company's network (thought they were splitting a signal to a single jack but it was a cable that connected a whole section of the building to the router). Brought the whole section of the building to a crawl while everyone else was fine.
