I grew up with two brothers. We have 5 other families
With all boys in my neighborhood. I think the age range was 9-10 years. One Christmas my parents had hit their limit with all the fighting that went on in our house and all the neighbor sports games we played (football, hockey, baseball, basketball). So they bought us one pair of boxing gloves and told us to settle our fights that way. So we organized “conflict resolution” fights when needed. Of course we flipped a coin or played paper rock scissors to determine who got to pick the right of left glove. We had no lefties, so if you lost the coin flip you knew you were about to take a beating. Great days though. Would love to know where those gloves are today.
