Not the way it works, as a percentage of revenue women's team

already makes more. Men's World Cup makes billions, women are still in the millions. Want to increase pay, got to increase viewership and draw.

Per an article: The 2010 men’s World Cup brought in about $4 billion, CBS reported, while the women’s World Cup in 2011 earned about $73 million. The men’s players got 9 percent of their event’s total revenue, while the women’s team got 13 percent of theirs, according to CBS.

That is why the women get paid less, they generate way less money.

I can't get anyone in my family to watch, my wife didn't even know it was on and when I turned it on, she asked why I was watching women's soccer. World Cup only happens every 4 years. Her response, "Oh." Then she went back to doing what she was doing. No one in my office cares either way, they let me change the channel because it is just something different vs wanting to watch it. Normally it is on FOXNEWS, CNN, or HLN.

People could care less about Women's World Cup but are up in arms about the pay discrepancy, uh, not how it works, at all.
