There are better things to bash boomers on


they produced the Millennial and trophy generation (:>).

Different times for sure

1) The Japanese were making better cars, but Americans were staying a float with trucks.
2) IMHO, the auto and textile industry were two industries facing a global economy early on.
3) Unions were at the high point of corruption and loss their way.
4) Gas prices and interest rates were through the roof.
5) Chrysler got a great deal. Iacocca somehow got a reputation as some great savior. He deserves some credit, but IMHO gets too much credit.
6) When faced with the same problem in 2008, the loans were not as kind to the companies like Lee got.

I am trying to not go UWS, but look at the times as I remember.
