Ahh.... TCCC. My "home" course

Misspent many days of my youth there. Really interesting place to learn how to play the game. The course will punish players severely for any bad shot. And sometimes it's still pretty harsh when you play the ball in a perfectly sensible way. #8 is a perfect example. That hole is particularly fun when the pen is placed on the upper "terrace" of the green. But you can make up any extra strokes on the following hole (#9 -- a relatively short dogleg par 5).

I actually flew a ball into the top of the silo on #14 once (and that was before they took a good portion of the top off). Inadvertent, of course. Some of my dad's friends were putting on the #7 green and heard the sounds of the ricochet as it worked its way to the bottom.

Many, many good memories. Thanks to other posters for conjuring them up.
