The article is still flawed because the allocation base is still depending on the demand in other countries. So it is possible that out of all the money generated for FIFA in the Men's World Cup, the US Men's "fair" portion" of that money may only equal 0.0000000001%. Whereas the US Women's "fair portion" may equal 50% or more because they have become the "NY Yankees" of women soccer.
If US Soccer made the mistake by overpaying the Men's Team, then US Soccer shouldn't "punish" the Women's Team. The "right thing" to do here would be either pay both teams the same amount or very similar amounts. Besides, I believe US Soccer soccer is still subject to federal law. If the Women's Team is not being paid the same amount as the Men's Team, then that could qualify as sex discrimination.
