They may hit the ball further now, but I don't think it has impacted


the scores. At least I don't think there has been a tournament played where the cut off for the final 2 days was -10 (or lower). However, if Par 5s start to behave like they were a Par 3, then the scores should drop significantly because the hole is eliminating the iron game from the sport. The scores may even drop proportionally to the increase in runs MLB is seeing in recent years. Even though it is entertaining to watch a 12-10 game at Coors Field once in a blue moon, I am not sure the game was designed to have that become a common occurrence and at every ballpark.
