You have the unique need. Here is what you ideally want.


Your adapter need to go from 1/2" Male to a 3/8" female Its a big weird to reduce the pipe side in that direction. Not much out there, other than cobbling something together yourself with two or more parts. I did find the linked amazon product. You need the one on the right in that image.

Other than that, I feel like a plumbing store will tell you to just replace the shut-off valve. and that might actually be a good option if it is easy to access and even easier if it isn't soldered onto copper pipe.... but I bet it is with that odd size.
