Japanese-American internment camp, there were some cartoons did about J-A by Geisel that were very stereotypical of Japanese, squinty eyes, big teath those round eyeglasses. They were shown as fifth columnist in a long line each one carrying a bomb.

It's ironic that folks we consider heros, FDR and Geisel were the villains here, and guys like J Edger Hoover who's kind of a villain these days was dead set against the J-A internment camps. Obtw, the Mormons in the area were kind to the internees, (these weren't exactly prisons, you just lived way far away from everyone else and they could deal w/the local populations in Wyoming.
