Oh i know the stats for last decade


And in some ways i hope the trend continues. But I'm pretty deeply embedded in the MidAtlantic and cost of living is an issue. Even for DINKs with combined annual incomes over $400k. Worse if you have kids. At some point, especially with remote work, those super inexpensive, smaller cities in the midwest start to look pretty good.

I also wonder whats going to support all the growth in NC, SC, and GA. Lots of cheap land and room to sprawl but I’m not sure there’s much infrastructure to support it. Hope they like traffic jams and eminent domain.

Be interesting to revisit this in 10 years.
