Sickest for me was rheumatic fever at age 3.


Spent six months hospitalized and was lucky beyond logic to have come out of it with no - zero - aftereffects. Given the time frame, almost 95% of kids who contracted it ended up with bad heart valves, holes in heart muscle and an increased risk of strep and other respiratory ailments.
