Got sick in Germany once


that had to be the worst, bed-ridden for days, couldn't move. (Like it took an hour to deal with the bathroom) Just some continental pathogen I wasn't remotely used to? Food poisoning? (Had snails at Grunewoche earlier)

Friend of mine who was worried was taking care of me said "Don't go anywhere"! and I made some funny, sarcastic comment like "yeah, I'm really going to be running around today" or something like that. Very pleased w/myself cracking a joke while that sick. Later, she asked if I thought I was close to dying, Me: Yeah, it occurred to me. (but kinda relieved me of that anxiety after that: passing away in your sleep wouldn't be too bad)

I was perfectly happy staying in bed but much later thinking about it was pretty pissed that our team lead didn't get me to a hospital. We weren't seeing eye-to-eye on stuff but I think that was once case where my bias doesn't come into play he should have and he didn't. Did it all with my own immunological system, I was pretty tough :^I

PS I would have liked to have known what it was, jaundiced and everything. Oh well.

PPS Probably my #1 Richard boss. happens.
