This is a time when I agree with Greg Roberts...get rid of Columbus Day and


replace it with Super Bowl Monday as a holiday.

Given that (a) Columbus wasn't the first European to discover the Americas, (b) he never actually set foot on the continent, and (c) he really wasn't a very nice person, it seems a bit odd to memorialize him.

Super Bowl Sunday is basically a holiday anyway in this country. It happens during a time on the calendar where there aren't many holidays, and people could kinda use the day off so they don't have to leave their SB parties at halftime so they can go get ready for bed.
