Is the opener still in good shape or will it need replacing soon also?


You might be able to get a discount on the install if you need both new panels and opener installed. Make sure the insurance looks at the opener and the track to see if those were damaged as well. You don't want to get stuck with unexpected repairs after the fact.

As for the whole new door, that might just be a matter of curb appeal, HOA rules, or even if they still have your style in stock and if the old panels would look very different from the new ones.
