The "NCAA match limit" below might be a reason.


It sounds like two of our guys competing for 5th/6th weren't allowed to go because they (or their opponents?) would have wrestled "too many" matches in one day. If the semifinal losers dropped down into the consolations, that would be yet another extra match for the guys coming up from an early loss.
