is happy with dwindling profits the same location is not enough to offset the capital costs involved in updating and maintaining broadcast technology not to mention trying to sell the sponsors on increased advertising rates when the numbers are going steadily in the opposite direction. As far as ND being happy with the renewal the old adage "half of something is better than all of nothing" probably summarizes their mindset. ND needs a national broadcast contract regardless of the contract number otherwise that is another nail in the independence coffin. They also need leverage over broadcast time slots intead of being just another property in somebody's broadcast inventory. Fact is there performance on the field and in TV ratings numbers are pushing them closer each year to just another property as opposed to a marquis property.
