Hotel recommendations for a visit to DC? The criteria in order of

importance:

1. Near a metro stop
2. Less than $300 a night. Preferably less than $250. 2 adults, 2 kids.
3. Safe neighborhood/location
4. Preferably walking distance to the Mall. Consider walking distance to be 1 to 1.5 miles, I guess.
4b. I could be talked into a place NOT that close to the mall if it's nice enough, cheap and on a metro stop such that we'd easily get to the Mall.
5. Onsite parking won't be an arm and leg. Plan is to drive to the hotel, park the car and not use the car again for 4 days, if possible.
6. A good selection of nearby restaurants.

Dates are April 4 - 7, so that SHOULD be cherry blossom time.
