For slow cooked meals I use a dutch oven inside the oven. You can adjust


the temperature to whatever you want instead of two or three choices that always seem too hot or too cool.

Also, why cook ground beef for hours? If you brown it then it is basically cooked. Try adding it maybe 30 minutes before done then let everything sit overnight.
