Hi CRB...it has been a while.

I have been crazy busy over the last few months and it has been a while since I posted.

I said back in the Fall that Comcast would sign up with the ACCN. I was wrong. All of the other MVPDs did, but Comcast did not.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that Comcast is becoming the honeybadger...and it does not care! They know that their customers are not going to drop their broadband service, so infuriating a bunch of college sports fans if collateral damage that they calculatingly believe will not hurt them.

Remember months ago when I said that if you really want to hurt Comcast, dump their broadband service. Many respondents said that they COULD not do that. So any anger and protest of Comcast was clearly never going to make an impact.

Here is another thing to remember. This is Comcast sending a middle finger to Disney and telling them that the next round of carriage negotiations will not be fun. At that time, Disney will bundle the ACCN with their other properties and it will finally get carriage on Comcast, but not a day before. Comcast will not be able to walk away from Disney programming but their message will have been sent loud and clear.
