just someone with more quality experience that fits the dynamics but also brings that fire. The top teams always have good assistant coaches who have experienced success consistency in one form or another, at least one assistant. Some assistants never have the interest of being a head coach because of the pressure involved. There are good young assistant coaches out there too that could also fit that role that might have that personality type and experience of being successful either as a player or coach or both. By experience I don't necessarily mean just coaching experience, if you can get a past player that had good success in a good program that could help too. I don't think any of our assistants had that much success other than getting to the first or second round of the NCAA Tournament once or twice in Anderson. Don't get me wrong that is successful but you need people that know how to win consistently at a high level if you want to reach that point and take the next step. We don't have that right now. Yeah maybe we can create it ourself eventually but it is hard to do it when nobody on your staff has reached that level, again not that they are unsuccessful by any means. Coaches can get advice from other coaches during the year and after the season, but it isn't the same as having someone there with you throughout the process in person assisting you. You need an assistant that wants to be an assistant but has that success to be able to go off of. You don't know what it takes until you have been there yourself. I feel like we are just missing that experience coaching wise right now. Nothing against anyone on the coaching staff, just something I have noticed. Maybe if one ever goes to another school for whatever reason we can get someone else with that experience, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
