Very troubling stats from Iran. Of the fatalities: 55% 60+, 30% 40–59....

15% under 40. Assuming that the virus hasn’t muted again, that tells me that it is probably hospital bed/treatment availability that is the factor here. That is the real concern in Europe and the US. Lots of people will get very sick and there won’t be sufficient facilities for treatment. That’s happening in Italy right now. They are having to select who to treat and letting others die. It is projected to happen in the UK and even mentioned by health professionals in Washington state and other places. Social distancing is only practical solution. People should avoid others as much as possible. The fed govt should immediately order a shutdown of all non-essential places where people congregate such as theatres, restaurants, bars etc. Leave open grocery stores, pharmacies, take out/delivery. Domestic air travel should be curtailed as well as other measures.
