Most stores have also done away with large storerooms in the back.
They have streamlined the system so trucks bring in products as they need them and then the shelves are stocked instantly. Any big demand in a product out of the norm kinda shocks the supply chain. I think social media plays into this big too. As people post their photos of tp hauls and experiences shopping, people have an even greater urge to get more just in case. I have one mega pack. That is good for almost two months for our family of four. People aren’t doing math. Some hoarders have supply’s of TP for over two years, yet enough bread for a week.
