China hid the outbreak for 2 months. China is an untrustworthy adversary.

Chinese state-run media is urging their government to stop the export of needed pharmaceutical components to the US. China has been the origin of multiple pandemics. China steals our intellectual property. The list goes on and on.

It would be the height of foolishness for the US to continue relying on China to play such an outsized role in our supply chain.

Any essential items such as pharmaceuticals needs to be completely transitioned out of China over time. Some non-essentials can stay in China, but American companies need to do a far better job of diversifying where those products are manufactured.
