Cox & Kellam are the only VB schools without an "Academy".
They were designed to allow better students to attend the lesser performing schools. And thus now the overall rating of the underperforming schools has been raised.
Now, if you're not a member of the academy at each school, you're likely still seriously underperforming.
I think it's fairly well known both Kellam & Cox have the highest overall academic (and athletic) levels. That shows up in the drive for living in those neighborhoods. Military demand when moving into the area.
