You are correct


the wattage that is listed on fixtures wasn't for heat but for power draw 60 watts, etc. To your point most of that went to heat but that is not why the wattage was stated. To your question, yes if you can find a LED light that generates 60 watts good luck, you are going to blind everyone in the room though, that is one bright light.

The brightest led bulb for home use is 45 watts designed for garages or warehouses, see link.
