We did hit the Melkveg (Milky Way Club). Legal weed and hash in the club.

Members only, but a lifetime membership was $10. I still have my card. :)

I can't remember who played there, but the Dead Kennedys played there an few nights later.

The only thing free was my friends trip to the Police Station. He was mugged and his wallet was stolen. We spent the next day in the Embassy getting his passport replaced. Missed the trip to the Heineken factory.
