I think some of the time they have to play outside
Now is the result of cancelled leagues, etc. more unstructured time. My kids didn’t know how to deal with all the unstructured time at first. They were used to most of their time being taken up with school and activities. One of my daughters spends almost all day outside now with kids in our neighborhood. She’s never done that before as her summer was as planned out as her school year due to camps and Sports. She rides her bike and I don’t think she touched it last summer. And she saved her money to buy a skateboard. I haven’t seen as many kids in the neighborhood on bikes in years. I have a creek on my property line. Kids in it almost every day. Now we have the complainers on next door complaining about reckless parents letting their kids play in an 8 inch deep creek. Since I grew up playing in a creek I think it is fantastic.
