Sweden looks like they are essentially done...

~5500 deaths, on a population basis that translates to ~181k deaths for USA.

They told their citizens to be smart, no mandatory lockdown, no mandatory masking. Death rate has fallen to close to zero, case rate is falling. Yesterday, they logged in one death...

Takeaways:

Appear to have reached herd suppression with a population case rate around 1%(!) How can this be? Only answer that fits the data is there must be a significant amount of pre existing immunity and wider population "positive" than they've been able to test/find.

Funny thing is, after the cruise ship data came in and they found cabin mates with one sick from c19 and the other not. I remind everyone They were tested. Not only were they asymptomatic they showed no disease at all.... thats impossible! (Unless they were immune...)

Ofc, none of the models take this pre existing immunity into their calculations.

For Sweden, it's over. For US, it's nearly over. Maybe 4 weeks to go.

As I hypothesized last week when I presented pre existing immunity into the mix, the "shut down" states are closer to herd immunity than the less stringent states. They are closer to the suppression level of 10-20% positive. That level combined with the pre existing resistance of 40 to 60% shuts this bug down.

England looks like she's done as well...(see pic)

On another note, let's look at all cause deaths for USA...

One a weekly basis, the average all cause fatality rate for the USA is 50-60,000.

Deaths excess to this average began to be seen around week 11 of 2020 (~ march 20th) and remained above the average until week 23/4 (june 15th). It have been below average for about a month now, by a significant amount (in the 35-40,000 deaths/week range).
