I don't have any firsthand experience...

...but when we were looking for new kitchen appliances a couple of years ago, I read a lot of negative reviews about Samsung products. I didn't specifically research gas ranges since we don't have gas service at our house, but some of their other appliances sounded like they were problematic and getting service was said to be difficult.
