Our good news regarding college tuition
When you have 3 in college and 1 of the 3 goes to a private college, you feel very fortunate to be able to manage those expenses without assistance.
But 2020 cashflow isn't the same as other years for most people.
We inquired about the possibility of getting financial assistance at Tulane. This is the first time we ever completed paperwork like this. The FAFSA process didn't seem fair to us, because of the loss of income in 2020. We figured we would just have to suck it up and use other savings to pay Tulane, or Faith was going to have to make other plans. And she loves the academics, loves the campus at Tulane and all of her friends there. It's crazy that she was not accepted into UF, but after 2 years of community college, she was accepted into Tulane, which is supposed to be much more difficult to get into
We just got notified that based on the current financial impact, and based on the fact we have two other children in college, that Faith will get a $34388.00 reduction in her tuition. It must be reevaluated in 2021.
