Thank you! That is our plan as well. We

purchased a fixer upper in Gainesville almost 4 years ago. Paid $85K for it and put about $25K into it. It's a small 2-bedroom house with one bath. We have 2 twin beds in the larger bedroom and one twin bed in the smaller bedroom, with a pullout couch. It was our plan to pay the small mortgage instead of rents in Gainesville and then sell the house after the kids graduated. It is on a busline too, even though our boys share a car in college. The twins lived there at first. Faith was attending Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, while Evan was at UF. But Faith got involved with a guy who broke her heart and she gave up on living in Gainesville. She didn't get accepted into UF out of high school and it was initially her plan to reapply after she completed her community college work 2 years. But she left Gainesville and came home and took a couple of online courses and applied to Tulane. I think she applied on a whim because we have a cousin who had raved about Tulane. We had financially planned for a public college, either instate or out of state, but not for a private college. The acceptance rate at Tulane is I think about 20% so we figured she wasn't going to be accepted anyway. When she was, we were like ok now we have to figure out what this is going to cost us and also pay for housing. My mother offered to pay her housing which has been a huge help! We were all so thrilled that Faith seemed to come out of her depression over the breakup, that we figured we could figure this out. Pilots make a good salary and we would just move funds around and cut back on some expenses. No big deal. Then the coronavirus hit and with that, some loss of much-needed income. Our youngest son just completed his freshman year at UF and lives with the older son in the house. What's really adding to the worries is that because of the coronavirus, the boys might not matriculate in 4 years. It is more likely going to be 4.5 or 5 years to get them through. And Faith has at least 2 years left.
